Biography

Born and raised on the beautiful island of Curacao. At the age of 12 Iski started to get involved into DJing, He then saved money and bought his first turntable. He started collecting Dancehall on vinyl. The basement of his mom's house served as his practice sanctuary. Competing in DJ battles at the local high schools and spinning Bubbling (fast dancehall) at house parties, Iski soon caught the attention of the other DJs because of his young age and skills, playing in the hottest clubs along with the local older DJ’s. He shared stage with big names in the game like Pitbull, Tego Calderon, Lil'Jon, Elephant Man, Mr. Vegas, Konshens and more. Performing at events such as the Calle Ocho Festival in Miami and the Antilliaanse Feesten in Hoogstraten Belgium.His songs with 'los Immorales' were getting airplay in Puerto Rico, the U.S. and most of South and Central America and his songs with Immo were getting airplay in the Netherlands.In 2011 DJ Iski released Chick Bollie Bollie, a song that became an instant hit and is one of the biggest club anthems in Curacao's urban music scene. Being remixed by all local deejays. Reaching the #1 spot on most radio charts for almost 9 weeks on the ABC Islands, also becoming song of the year 2011 in Aruba. From this point on Iski has his own sound. A mix of old school dancehall combined with his unique caribbean flavor.
