Biography

Kostas Karafotis was born in Trikala, Thessaly in 1978, where he lived there until his 18th birthday. From early on, he showed interest in music, since at the age of 8 he persuaded his father to buy him a bouzouki. He studied music theory and solfege in a music conservatory. At the age of 18 he was enrolled at the Medical School of the Sofia University in Bulgaria, where he graduated with a medical degree on November 14, 2003. At the same time with his studies, he worked in Sofia's music stages. In 2004 he participated in the talent show "Fame Story 2", where he impressed both his vocal skills and his musical knowledge and emerged as one of the three winners. In his debut album, in March 2005, he was very lucky and honored to meet with one of the most important composers of our country, Antonis Vardis, who gave him the album "Eimai Edo" So far, he has recorded 5 complete albums and quite successful digital singles and collaborations on stage with the biggest names, such as Marinella, Glykeria, Christos Nikolopoulos, Vassilis Karras, Stamatis Gonidis, Despina Vandi, Giorgos Mazonakis, Peggy Zina, Elli Kokkinou, Elena Paparizou, Melina Aslanidou and others. In June 2016, Kostas Karafotis started his collaboration with Spicy Music and his digital singles until now “Mi Rotas”, “Vrika Ton Paradiso” & “Isos Na Fteo” are very popular both on YouTube, radios and clubs all over the country.
