Biography

YAØ is a singer/songwriter emerging from the restless neighbourhoods of Singapore. The rising multi-hyphenate (singer-songwriter-producer)’s musical confections sound like a love child of urban soul and contemporary pop, blending his love for RnB-Pop and Hip-Hop. 
 A career-early flirtation with Japanese City Pop has seen him catapult into the pop music fan’s hemisphere with his retro-inflected 2018 single ‘Scenery’. He released his debut EP Love & City Lights in September 2019 to critical acclaim by Singapore music press and radio stations. 
 YAØ‘s 2 singles ‘No Stress’ and ‘RHCF’ have gone heavy rotation on Singapore’s radio station 987. The bops have won rave reviews from Canadian, American and Australian music sites like Uranium Waves, Chill N Trap and Asian Pop Radio and indie US radio station 'Plan-A Radio'. 
 To date, he has performed at IGNITE! Music Festival, Shine Festival and Singapore Night Festival in 2018 and 2019. He has picked up the ‘New Kid On The Block’ award in the inaugural Singapore Youth Music Awards in 2019.
