Biography

Lisa Stanley is undoubtedly one of Ireland’s most popular entertainers. Born and raised in Sligo, Ireland to Irish showband legends Maisie McDaniel and Fintan Stanley, who inspired her to start singing at an early age. Lisa’s musical career started at the age of 19 when she joined the Sligo-based wedding band, The Treetops. However, it wasn’t until the early 2000s that she rose to prominence in Ireland when she entered Eurosong 2000. She was 1 of 8 finalists with her own composition, “Shine”. This then led her to write several songs in the pop genre. However, in 2004, she changed musical direction when she was approached to be part of “Dancehall Queues & Hucklebuck Shoes” which was a tribute to the show band era in Ireland, which Lisa’s parents were a huge part of. This led Lisa to become part of the country music scene, where her career rose to a whole new level. From fronting her own band, to touring with the likes of Nathan Carter and Dominic Kirwan. In 2010, along with Phil Mack, Lisa became a huge part of the very popular channel “Keep It Country TV” (now “Spotlight TV”) which then led to her own TV show “The Lisa Stanley Show”. This also gained her recognition throughout the UK and further afield. With four studio albums to her name, the most recent, “Heart & Soul” hit the top of the ITunes U.K. Country Chart on release (even passing out Dolly Parton & Tayloy Swift!)
