Biography

Alanna Boudreau grew up in rural upstate NY. Classically trained in piano from an early age, she picked up the guitar around age fifteen and began writing lyrical music soon thereafter. At the request of friends, she recorded her debut EP "Hands in the Land" directly after graduating from college in 2013. That EP landed in the hands of musicians from Nashville, which lead to several tours across the States with a crew of creatives. In 2015 she recorded "Hints & Guesses" at Subcat Studios in Syracuse, NY, and went on to win the SAMMY Award for best singer-songwriter that year. In 2016 she recorded "Champion" at SONY studios in Nashville. 2018 saw the creation of "Goodbye Stranger," which included the track The Lord is Coming, a song written by Boudreau along with Scott Mulvahill and Gabi Wilson. This song was made popular as done by HER (Gabi Wilson) and was a featured song at the 2019 BET Awards. 2021 sees the release of her fifth project, Spanish Toast. The album is a reflection on grief, transfigured love, deconstruction, and persistent hope.
