James Curd began his musical career at the ripe age of fifteen in his hometown of Chicago, before making his way to Australia – where he now calls home. Curd is currently releasing on respected labels Classic, DFA, Defected, Dirtybird, Exploited, Repopulate Mars, and Sweat It Out . Curd has also recently remixed for the likes of PNAU, Midnight Magic, Poolside, Kaskade, Groove Armada, and Flight Facilities. In reciprocation for his stellar work on these tracks, Curd’s music has been remixed by renowned artists Claude VonStroke, Camelphat, Sonny Fodera, Denney, Poolside, Juan Maclean, Felix Da Housecat, Doorly, and Derrick Carter. With his energetic approach to DJ performances, Curd regularly graces the decks at some of the world’s most respected clubs – from Fabric (London), The Avalon (Los Angeles), Home (Sydney) to The Arches (Glasgow). Additionally, Curd has played an impressive lineup of festivals worldwide, including Parklife (Australia), Lollapalooza (Chicago), T in the Park (Scotland) and Electric Picnic (Ireland). In addition to his already impressive resume, Curd’s songs have been featured on TV shows, multiple Hollywood blockbusters, plus the world famous video games Grand Theft Auto 4 & 5. Curd also produces under additional alter egos, Greenskeepers, Favored Nations and Chez Moon.
