    Hailing from Kansas City, Missouri, The Wild Type formed in 2014 as a collaborative effort stemming from the roots of Mallin’s bedroom pop project. Since the debut of her first solo EP ‘The Persistence of Vision,’ the band has accrued a widespread regional fanbase supporting national touring acts such as Cold War Kids, Metric, and Phantogram with festival slots at Lincoln Calling, Middle of The Map, and Boulevardia. Now a four-piece, Rachel Mallin & The Wild Type has found its stride in thoughtful arrangements, a refined lyrical wit, and a youthful, resilient pop glow.
