Biography

Alex Vile as a project began as a solo endeavor led by Alexandra Vilenius, while teaching herself to play guitar at the onset of the 2020 pandemic. While developing her sound over the isolation, Alex began working with Avalanche Management, and quickly brought on high desert dweller Kaelyn Stevens on bass, as well as Tacoma house rockers Evan Hartung on drums, and Leo Quale on lead guitar. Since August of 2022, the band has been performing consistently and growing rapidly in the rainy Puget Sound of Washington State. Alex Vile melds the heavy hitting rhythms of Grunge, Shoegaze, and Emo, whilst maintaining the energy of modern Alternative and Indie Rock. With a handful of singles already released, and a cult following of PNW indie kids at their back, Alex Vile is forging their own new path forward in the classic Seattle Alt-Rock sound.
