Biography

In 2017, Cal Trask released his debut EP "Posthumous" months after a failed audition on The Voice. The empty feeling standing on that stage without being selected, set Cal on the path to create music with emotion that listeners can relate to. After a short tour in Europe to promote the EP, Cal went back to his apartment and was again met with those empty feelings. Dealing with those feelings resulted in the production of "Gemini God," a 10-song album recorded in Stockholm with producer Andreas Unge. The album was later mastered by Matt Colton (James Blake, Coldplay, Mumford & Sons). After Gemini God's release, Cal collaborated with StayLoose and Curci on A Dime a Dozen, a downtempo dark-pop anthem mixing indie rock influence with rap. Cal is returning to the music scene with a vengeance with his new single "False Hope." The single is about being ghosted by a partner, written to cope with the feelings of abandonment and loneliness after a relationship comes to an abrupt end and one person is left wondering what could have been. False Hope was released October 15th, 2021.
