Biography

Husky has spent the Melbourne summer quietly working on a new collection of songs. The first Australian band to be signed to iconic US label Sub Pop Records (Nirvana, Fleet Foxes), Husky went on to release four albums to international acclaim and toured the world many times over, playing with the likes of Neil Young and Andy Shauf. Now they’re back with a new album. The word on the street is that this is Husky’s best work to date. The first song, 'Devil on the Dresser', is a dark yet sweet tale of love - but it is not a usual love song. The very concept of love is in question and the main character, the lovesick devil, is pulling the strings as two mortal lovers struggle to hang on. The second cut is called ‘Deep Sleeper’. Chapter 2: “This is a song about someone who would prefer to be lost in a dream rather than face reality. His love is slipping away, and when he finally wakes up, it’s too late. She’s already gone.” Chapter 3 is out July 21. Stay tuned.
