Biography

Jazz, funk, R&B and pop music performer, pianist, and composer Duygu Soylu was born in İzmir. After studying piano, transverse flute and vocal training at İzmir Dokuz Eylül University State Conservatory, İzmir Işılay Saygın Fine Arts High School and Bilkent University Faculty of Music and Performing Arts; she graduated from Başkent University State Conservatory with an Opera – Vocal Training degree. After starting her vocal training, she began performing at several venues and events. This led to her discovery by Kenan Doğulu and she became a permanent member in his orchestra as a backing vocalist. During her time as a vocal coach in shows like “Ve Kazanan” and “O Ses Türkiye”, she tought popular music and vocal training classes at Tan Sağtürk Academy. She has performed with İstanbul State Symphony Orchestra, Antalya State Symphony Orchestra and İstanbul Kent Orchestra among others, while lending her voice to lots of jingles for various brands in television. Aside from working with Kenan Doğulu, Evrencan Gündüz and Ceylan Ertem on their albums as a backing vocalist, her discography includes Çağlayan ile Sohbet from Doğan Canku ile 50 Yıl album and "Kol Düğmeleri" from Miras EP. Soylu has also worked with musicians like Ajda Pekkan, Ozan Doğulu, Aşkın Arsunan and Garo Mafyan among others.
