Biography
Stacy Dean Campbell cut his musical teeth on diesel fumes in the back of a tour bus. His father, a touring musician on the southern gospel circuit in the late 60's infused a musical foundation that would remain a core element in Campbell's later creative life. A move to Nashville, TN in the 90's found Campbell joining the ranks and apprenticing under some of the most legendary songwriters in American music as a staff songwriter for Sony Music Publishing. A spot on the Columbia Records roster alongside Willie Nelson, Tammy Wynette and The Highwaymen soon followed. With a move to Warner Brothers and a shift from the honky tonk sounds of Music Row to the acoustic landscapes of Americana, Campbell garnered acclaim as a "singer/songwriter of the finest mold" and established himself in the genre that is best representative of who he is as a musical artist.
