ufo ufo’s success seemed to fall out of the sky when their debut single, “Fools,” caught fire on Spotify and SiriusXM. The song was recorded by the trio after they relocated to Los Angeles from their respective homes in Minnesota, Texas and Arizona. 
For a self-funded, self-released, and self-promoted band, racking up over 20 million plays across platforms on their first three singles is a promising look into the future. Returning to the studio, but this time ufo ufo vocalist/guitarist Clay Borrell self produces the track, which allows the band to take themselves to intergalactic heights with their latest single, Weightless. Borrell says, “One night, I had a dream that I said goodbye to my girlfriend, family, band, and friends, hopped on a spaceship set to explore deep space. As I exited the atmosphere, a voice came on the intercom telling me that I will never return to earth and thanking me for the sacrifice. At that moment I felt very real emotions knowing I would never see my loved ones ever again. After I woke up, those feelings carried on throughout the whole day. I decided to sit down and write about it. The song basically wrote itself, which is something I’ve never experienced before. The next day, I had Reid come over to throw some bass on it, and there it was: Weightless.”Led by fluttering bass and slick synths, Weightless finds ufo ufo delivering their most refined performance yet.
