Biography
Andrew Osenga is a Nashville-based artist, producer, songwriter and guitarist. Known for his atmospheric sonic textures, heartfelt story-telling and gutsy guitar playing, Andrew has been a vibrant part of the Nashville music community for two decades. Having been a member of two influential bands, The Normals and Caedmon's Call, he is also a founding member of the Square Peg Alliance, a group of highly acclaimed Nashville singer/songwriters. Andrew’s first solo album “Photographs” was released in 2003 and has been followed by three other full-length albums ("The Morning", "Choosing Sides", and "Leonard, the Lonely Astronaut") and seven EPs. "Leonard" was recorded inside a homemade spaceship. His newest project, a still-unnamed intimate acoustic look at the move into the second half of life, will be released in early 2018. He has been a touring guitar player for Steven Curtis Chapman, Andrew Peterson and Jars of Clay, had songs recorded by Chris Tomlin, J.J. Heller, Jason Gray and Jonny Diaz, and produced records for Andrew Peterson, Laura Story, Jon Troast and Nick Flora. From 2014 to 2016 Andrew worked in A&R at Capitol Records where he discovered, signed and developed The New Respects, along with overseeing projects by Rend Collective, Mandisa, Josh Wilson and Urban Rescue. In 2017 he started a highly successful podcast called “The Pivot”, a long-form interview show looking at career and life transition.
