Biography

After a successful year in 2022, Indoor Foxes are set to take 2023 with even bigger strides into grungey territory. The ‘Bite Your Nails’ EP is a step into an angrier and more assertive sound, which is a sign of things to come. Leading with the rock powerhouse of ‘Butterfly Boy’, the EP is a furious and to the point run of tracks. ‘Shame’ and ‘SAD’ are equally impactful with their raucous instrumentation. With BBC Scotland’s Janice Forsyth picking ‘Shame’ as her track of the week, and airplay for SAD on the BBC Introducing Scotland show, Indoor Foxes continue to assert the well deserved space within the Scottish music scene. Starting life as a bedroom pop project created solely by the multi-talented Martha Barr, the sound of Indoor Foxes has grown and evolved along with Barr’s own life. Having a knack for crafting striking melodies in any format, with tracks like ‘Peach Stone’ and ‘Mr Yellow Eyes’ exploring both pop and rock sensibilities. With Barr’s vocals being hard-hitting and powerful its hard not to be completely enamoured with Indoor Foxes.
