Biography

Cooley Savant (now known as King Cooley) is a multi-hyphenate performing artist from Atlanta, Georgia. Her certified rap bars, neo-soul soothing vocals, and bone-chilling lyricism merely scratch the surface of her creative package. The southern songstress's love of storytelling began early as a young artist, drawing comics for friends and collecting album artwork from her favorite CDs. Cooley's interest in art led her to attend the Savannah College of Art & Design where she received her B.F.A. in Graphic Design. Shortly after graduating, Cooley released her single Climate Change* which blasted through the digital sphere. To date, the single has earned over 280,000 streams and has been added to over 2,000 Spotify playlists including Spotify's Fresh Finds, Discover Weekly, Next Wave Neo-Soul, and Madame Gandi's "Future is Female" playlist. With the success of Climate Change and her follow-up single "Nevermind", Cooley was encouraged to combine her creative skills and begin producing her own projects. Now, if she isn't headlining shows in Brooklyn or firing up studios in ATL, King Cooley is trailblazing as one of the few Black female Art Directors in her field. Her design work can be seen across an array of brands as she strives to inspire other multi-hyphenates to embrace the power of creative diversity.
