Biography

The Vacancies is an Alternative Pop band based in Jabodetabek. Formed in 2018, the band consist of Khrisna Widhi & Dian Aslama on guitar, Gusti Kul Fathiriansyah on bass, Moudy on vocal, and Raihan Siregar as the drummer. The Vacancies was a continuation of Khrisna, Dian, and Raihan's Alternative Rock project called Cherry Blossom that lasted for several years. After Moudy and Gusti joined, they decided to rebrand as The Vacancies and shift their musical characteristic towards Alternative Pop instead, to match the smooth and soothing female-voice of Moudy. Two years after their hiatus, The Vacancies returned with a brand-new single "Stay" in early 2023. Although the new single is a pop-love-song-at-its-core, The Vacancies also brings some little rock touches here and there along the way as a nod to their Cherry Blossom days.
