Biography

GRUUVE is the moniker of the argentinian artist Tomas Acosta, well known for his unique Deep and Tech House productions in which tribal elements are his famous trademark. He has denitely avoided any connection to cutting corners and as an autodidact, he fought very hard to make a name for himself in the industry, being creative and moving away from generic music. After 2 years releasing music in underground labels, in 2014 Deeperfect found him and asked for some tracks. "Wrong file" was the name of the EP that put GRUUVE on the radar of the big names in the industry. Nowadays he continues releasing music on well respected digital labels such as Lapsus, Muse, Bla Bla, Glasgow Underground, and his own imprint MUUV. After several entries in the top 100 of Beatport between 2018 and 2021, GRUUVE reached number 1 of Deep House with his track "Cloud", released on Glasgow Underground, and that's where it stayed for the next three months. In that time, it found a home in the USBs of a vast range of DJs. From Franky Rizardo to David Guetta, A-list spinners could not get enough of its subtle rhythm and killer vocal. Throughout his career, he has achieved big support from the most recognisable artists of the globe such as Marco Carola, Stefano Noferini, Roger Sanchez, Miguel Bastida, De La Swing, Max Chapman, George Smeddles, Dennis Cruz, David Aurel, Nicole Moudaber, Nic Fanciulli, Latmun among others.
