Swedish guitarist and composer Mattias Bärjed started his musical journey in various underground bands in his hometown of Karlstad which included the influential Nymphet Noodlers and Mindjive. He is probably best known for being one of the guitarists with The Soundtrack of Our Lives, from replacing founding member Björn Olsson in 1997 until the band’s amicable break-up in December 2012. In 2009, Bärjed started the band Free Fall and their debut album "Power & Volume" was released by Nuclear Blast in 2013. Bärjed has worked as a session or concert guitarist for various Swedish rock bands and artists, including The Hellacopters and Håkan Hellström and he played at Broder Daniel's last gig in 2008. As a composer, he wrote and performed most of the music to Peter Birro's television series "Upp till Kamp" (2007), directed by Mikael Marcimain and also acted in the film. In 2012, Bärjed composed the music to Marcimain's acclaimed feature film debut "Call Girl ". In Spring 2015, he joined Swedish Hardcore Punk legends Refused. In 2015 Bärjed and Jonas Kullhammar shared the Guldbaggen award for best soundtrack for "Gentlemen” which also received a nomination at the Grammis Awards. For his most recent project Bärjed has again teamed up with Marcimain for a Swedish Crime TV series entitled "Jakten På en Mördare" (Hunt For a Killer) currently being broadcast by SVT.
