Biography
Inspired to inspire — Zoot is a Persian-born artist, producer, and entrepreneur based in Atlanta, Georgia. Learning flute, xylophone, and the Persian santoor by the age of nine, Ardalan found his passion at a young age. Given the limited freedom in Iran, the artist moved to the United States at the age of 13 and started recording songs on his iPhone shortly after - delivering unique music that impacts and resonates with listeners ever since. While struggling with mental health due to isolation & culture shock, Zoot began to understand the healing power of music as it was changing his perspective - making it a personal goal to harness that power in his own music. After creating some buzz with his song “+” featuring SoFaygo, followed by a series of mixtapes & singles with Donny Bravo!, Kam Prada, JADY'S BIRTHDAY, & Wolfsta- the 21 year old has been consistently dropping new music every month since 2021. Formerly known as Zonouzi - Zoot changed his artist name after a conversation with Atlanta rapper Russ. Combing classic melodies with a modern sound; growing up, Zoot was impacted by different music from different countries and cultures. Some of his biggest influences such as Kendrick Lamar & Eminem can be heard in his complex rhyme schemes. You can hear the Mac Miller impact in his effortless flows, The Weeknd & Drake in his melancholic melodies, and a inspiration fueled passion that's derived from greats such as Kanye West, JAY-Z and other legendary students of hip-hop.
