The Impatient Sisters’ songs are distinctly characterized by haunting harmonies, eclectic arrangements of guitar, xylophone and the kazoo. The Impatient Sisters first dipped their toes into the local music scene by opening for My Short Term Memory at Lepaq Cafe in 2011, singing covers of their influences Eisley and Priscilla Ahn. Their unique harmonies and musical choices caught the attention of their audience, and inspired the sisters to try their hands at original material. Their attempts at collaborative songwriting yielded lyrics that were dreamy, breezy, happy, and sad. The peculiarity of their songs aptly reflected their own quirky personalities and connection as siblings. The result: Comets and Stars and The Mermaid Song, their first YouTube releases. The sisters have never looked back since. The thrill of delighting listeners with their musical takes on love, death, heartbreak, letting go, sleeping in, and other moments of modern life.
