Biography
In 2012 an uncontrolled primal force walked away with the First Prize at Humo's Rock Rally, a welknown music contest in Belgium. Together with their monster hit 'The Reeling', Compact Disk Dummies released their first EP in 2013. The single (The Reeling) scored first place in De Afrekening and stayed in the Flemish Ultratop 50 charts for 6 weeks straight. Quickly the two brothers from Waregem rocked big stages like Dour, Lokerse Feesten & Pukkelpop. A first full-album 'Silver Souls' saw the light of day in 2016. In late 2019, after a two-season appearance as the houseband for satirical TV-show "De Ideale Wereld", the 'Dummies' returned with a brand new hitsingle: 'Cry For Me', a precursor for their "Satellites" EP, to be released in oktober '19, was a smash hit on several Belgian Radio channels. A lauded show at Pukkelpop-festival marked the summer of 2019, followed by 2 soldout Ancienne Belgique-venues, and a collab with dEUS-frontman Tom Barman for 'Satellites'. On April 3, 2020, Compact Disk Dummies released their much anticipated follow-up album on Silver Souls: 'Neon Fever Dream'. Due to Covid-19 the brothers saw their entire spring and festival disappear. However, on the back of the successful 'I Remember' single, a few small shows were planned, with overwhelming success. 'Matter of Time' is the new single.
