    Through a series of 12" singles (with very little information printed on them) issued by Berlin's enigmatic SUED label, SW. (Stefan Wust) built up a cult following with his eclectic brand of techno and house, ranging from minimal club cuts to more lush, expansive tracks drawing from Detroit techno, broken beat, ambient house, and the softer side of jungle. A member of experimental ambient group You Dee (later spelled UD), Wust co-founded SUED with frequent collaborator Sven Rieger (SVN) in 2011. Both producers -- as well as other artists like Dynamo Dreesen, Club No-No, and DJ Fett Burger -- released a steady stream of 12"s. While most of SW.'s releases (and tracks) were untitled, the Reminder trilogy was released between 2013 and 2015, with the first containing a remix by DJ Sotofett. An untitled double LP by SW. was issued by SUED in 2016. After earning accolades from the likes of Resident Advisor, it was given a wider release by R&S sublabel Apollo in 2017, officially titled The Album. ~ Paul Simpson, Rovi
