Biography
Hailing from Auckland, New Zealand, Hans. is an exciting Korean artist that has been dubbed by VICE Magazine as “One of the rising stars of New Zealand Hip Hop.” as well as being lauded by Apple DJ Zane Lowe as one of his favourite NZ artists. With his breakthrough single ‘Froyo’ featuring US indie pop sensation Clairo amassing over 15 million streams, his consistency in releases has allowed him to become a staple in NZ Hip Hop all the while supporting international acts such as Billie Eilish, Rejjie Snow and most recently Easy Life on their 2022 AU tour. 2022 saw the successful release of his debut album ‘kimyuntak’ that spawned club banger ‘Be Grateful’, earning a huge feature in Spotify Korea’s Tren Chill K-Hip Hop playlist, DJ rotation in Korean clubs and a shoutout from Twice’s Chaeyoung. Hans. returns with his latest project, a concise three song offering featuring fellow Korean-NZ artists Imugi 이무기. The colourful artwork was commissioned by esteemed Korean fine artist Yeon Yeoin who has previously worked with K-pop superstars Red Velvet, Bibi and Balming Tiger. The project wraps up a solid year for Hans. having just been announced for Laneway Festival 2023 alongside artists such as Joji, Phoebe Bridgers and Haim.
