KAO=S (pronounced as /kəɔs/ ) is Japanese rock duo formed by Kaori (Singer/Japanese sword dancer) and Shuji (Guitarist/Singer). They are known for emotional music and show mixed Japanese traditional elements with modern rock style. With the appearance of SXSW festival, they began to draw significant attention with twin vocals, guitar sound at opened tuning, the sounds of Japanese traditional instruments, and Kaori's intensive, yet beautiful sword performances. So far, they have had many shows in many countries and gained the audience's excitement.
