Biography
Swingin' 60’s Pop Star, Donna Loren was everywhere on the pop culture scene. She was best known as the one and only Dr Pepper Girl. Her career began when she sang her first commercial for Meadow Gold Ice Cream at age 8, followed by a guest appearance on the Mickey Mouse Club on her 10th birthday. Born in Boston, Donna grew up on the West Coast in the seaside town of Mar Vista. Her adopted father was an assistant animator and photographer who later became her manager and personal photographer. Her book “Pop Sixties” is an abbreviated autobiography and photo archive of her life through 1968 when she retired. Currently, Donna’s podcast “Love’s A Secret Weapon” can be heard on Spotify, Apple or wherever you get your podcasts. Donna played Susie on Batman starring Cesar Romero as the Joker, Princess Colette on The Monkees and represented Dr Pepper on billboards, magazines, radio, TV and film. She co-starred in five Beach Party films, most notably “Beach Blanket Bingo”. Shindig, ABC TV's #1 Rock 'n Roll show in the Sixties, is seen as the highlight of her career, performing with singing partner Bobby Sherman and sharing the stage with everyone from the Rolling Stones to James Brown. Donna Loren’s newest release “Love It Away” Dance Remix 2020 is an original song written by Donna and Remixed by Maurice Gainen. Her departure from the career she enjoyed was to marry and become a wife and mother. Donna’s first language is singing. It is her passion & truest expression of who she is.
