Biography
Tijuana, besides being the most visited border of the world, having donkeys disguised as zebras and being a haven for drugs, cheap prostitution and crime, sometimes it can be the cradle from some of the most underrated Rock & Roll in Mexico; I mean, even Santana learned how to play guitar in the downtown strip clubs and no one else, besides we locals, know that. This statement can be well defined on the all balls out chord attack of DFMK’s RnR sound. Playing around all the local neighborhoods relentlessly and putting out a self-released first EP in 2010 entitled Manual Practico Para la Autodestruccion (2010-2012), which translates to “A Practical Guide to Self-Destruction”. Then releasing a 2012 follow up EP demo which is considered the second part of “A Practical Guide to Self-Destruction”. After a string of self produce demo songs, in 2014 they released on vinyl with the help of distros in Mexico they’re first 7 inch EP Negatividad. In 2015 Angel Campos left the band and DFMK ventured on being a 4-piece rock & roll band. In 2016 La Escalera Records released their second 7” EP named 7 Canciones Sobre Un Individualismo Radical which translates to “Seven songs about radical individualism”. In 2017 they recorded their first LP which was produced by Tyson "Chicken" Annicharico from Dead To Me. This "Self-tittle" LP album released in late 2020. DFMK currently is: Alex- Drums Fernando – Bass Boti - Guitar Davey - Guitar Mr. Cap - Vox
