Biography
A Swedish pop-punk band with a flair for infusing power chords with new wave and disco, Frankley Everlong surfaced in 2009 as a straight-up punk band. Based in the southeastern city Kalmar, the band released their debut album, Songs for the Broken, album in 2014, using a hook-driven pop-punk with a flair of synthesizers. Looking for a unique spot in the scene, Tommy Carlsson began merging new wave synths and disco beats into the mix, which lead up to the release in 2019 of their full-length album “Till the Dance Do Us Part” on American based Eclipse Records. The album was well received by the critics with its playful balance between punk end electronics. Early 2020 the writing process started for the third album with an urge to fuse the new wave and punk even further. The writing process went fast, the up-beat disco fused with fast punk tracks, letting the synths take more place in the hit driven punk songs, creating the third album “Things of Evil”, which is set to release in spring 2022.
