Biography
King Green’s multifaceted talent tool belt as a writer, producer, and engineer, has afforded him the opportunity to write songs with Pharrell Williams , Method Man, Royce 5’9, and Eminem. For King Green, these are more than titles and accomplishments, but rather they are extensions of his heart and soul. Bar-by-bar King Green is breathing new life into Rap, using lessons learned from true Hip-Hop heads who have built upon the body of work that the giants of the genre have passed down throughout the years. Although his first spoken language was French, King Green mastered the art of rhythmic storytelling with an unstoppable flow and uncontainable wit. Born in Boston to Haitian immigrant parents, he spent his developmental years in Nice, France, but his family returned to the States during the Golden Age of Hip-Hop in the 90’s. Living in the D.C. area, King Green was heavily influenced by his Haitian heritage, as well as his immense appreciation for a variety of cultural art forms, including; Japanese Anime, Brazilian Capoeira, French Fine Arts, Traditional South African Music, etc. This unlimited exposure and untethered exploration has allowed King Green to become a quintessential Renaissance man of the internet age. ~Marcus “Kastle” De La Garza
