Biography

A band from Yogyakarta. Formed in 2002, Sophie musical sound is heavily influenced by the sound of Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, The Cure, and also Coldplay. With initial formation: Hendra, Dodhi, Imron, Ferry, and Bonny, Sophie had released 2 Full-Length Albums and 1 EP. Some of their singles such as Pejuang Asmara, Kenangan Menyakitkan, and Bawakan Aku Bunga were able to become the anthems of the broken-hearted at that time. Having been on hiatus for years, some of the band members have tried to continue to express their musical passion through side projects. Until finally in 2022, the universe reunited them all again. Added with some fresh heads, Sophie is trying to get back on the track again. Their new single, Tanah Merah, released in May 2022, hopefully will be the starting point for the new, wonderful journey ahead.
