Biography

TiCorn, (www.TiCorn.com) is an established singer-songwriter and performing artist of the Caribbean island Haiti. As a faithful and loving representative of Haitian music TiCorn expresses in tunes of joy, laughter and sorrow the deeply poetic soul of a nation which never abandons hope. Melodious tunes, beautiful lyrics, intricate rhythms, skilful guitar accompaniment and a warm, natural vocal “timbre” are gracefully combined to charm wherever she performs. Besides interpreting traditional folk songs and her own “chansons” and ballads in Creole and English she has worked with great musicians and great Haitian composers, she had the pleasure share stage with many renowned artists. Her colourful career as professional singer-songwriter started 1979 with her first recording album called “Haiti Cherie”. Many concerts, music videos and Creole album productions followed: "Cèvolan", "Ballades Caraïbes", " Cap Haitien", "In Labadee Bay" (sung in English) and "Zanmi Nou".
