Waking Tera is a 6-piece American Alternative Metal/Hard Rock band based out of Jacksonville, North Carolina. Guitarist Zach Robinson and vocalist KP formed the band in 2010. This was a collection of passionate, driven, eclectic people who met through mutual friends within the regional music scene, and who all just shared a love for bands like Sevendust, Killswitch Engage, Deftones. KP and Zach were joined by guitarist Dustin Varner, Guitarist/keyboardist Ben Schrider, and later joined by bassist Aaron Yow and drummer Mike Mitchell. Their unique brand of entertainment fuses hard-hitting grooves and catchy choruses, melodic sound with energetic and in your face performances that will make you want to become a lifelong fan. Waking Tera has performed over 600 shows and have had the pleasure of opening for iconic bands Killswitch Engage, RA, All that Remains, Bad Wolves, From Ashes to New, VRSTY, Otherwise, Islander, Drowning Pool, Avatar, Ill Nino, Saliva, 10 Years, Cold, Hed Pe, Hell Yeah, In This Moment, Motograter, Mushroomhead, Nonpoint, Orgy, Powerman 5000, Sid Wilson (Slipknot), Straight Line Stitch, Taking Dawn, Trapt, Wayne Static (Static X). “Waking Tera is addictive, that’s what they are.
