Biography

Emmanuel Santiago was born on December 25, 1986 in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. Artistically known as EGWA, from a very young age he began to experiment in the world of music being influenced by his first teacher and mentor who he is nothing more and nothing less than his father. After having gone through his childhood studying and expanding his musical knowledge from the hand of his father, he takes the decision to pursue his university studies at the “Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico”. EGWA has a variety of influences in musical genres, being some Jazz, Salsa, Hip Hop, R&B among others. His musical taste has no limits, since it does not concentrate on mastering a single musical style, but explores diversity of styles, this being one of his greatest virtues since he has achieved link genres that have nothing to do with the urban and having a great acceptance of the public. EGWA has had musical collaborations with international artists within the urban genre as some of them are: Tito "El Bambino", Ozuna, Ñengo Flow and Darell. Achieving popularity in the genre with themes such as “ Ya me Enteré” and “Yo no tengo amigos nuevos”. Reaching reproductions that over pass the six figures. EGWA was one of the first artists who belonged to On Fire Music, owners and creators of the La Sociedad del Dinero, founded by artist Tito "El Bambino".
