Biography
The band was formed a long time ago, in 1994 by Robert Fudali. At the beginning he made Lord Wind's music himself - the first few albums were a solo work. It was mainly music based on samples and keyboard sounds. From the beginning, the band's work was inspired by early music, mainly medieval, and folk with European roots. Albums such as "Heralds of Fight" were also influenced by movie soundtracks, especially the famous one for Conan Barbarian (1981) composed by Basil Poledouris. Robert repeatedly mentioned in his interviews that Poledouris would greatly influence his art, and also introduced him to the world of early music. Such inspirations can also be felt in Lord Wind's new compositions. Songs "Cult of Seth", "Temple of Snakes" from the album "Ales Stenar" resound with melodies straight from the world of Conan. In addition to Poledouris, Lord Wind was also heavily influenced by Dead Can Dance. Oriental sounds and melodies, rhythms and selection of instruments such as jembe or santur. All this contributed to Robert's compositions - a specific atmosphere that distinguishes Lord Wind from other early and reconstructive music bands. Lord Wind's music has always had a very important influence on pagan beliefs. Culture, mythology and traditions of Slavs and Vikings. Lord Wind has performed at several festivals such as the Slavs and Vikings Festival in Wolin (2018 and 2019), at the Barbarian Invasion festival in Ogrodzieniec (2017).
