Biography

Nick Wilkins is a 24-year old multi-instrumentalist based in Iowa City, Iowa. In the years since releasing his first project Covers With Comrades, Vol. 1, Nick found himself in the middle of an up-and-coming Midwest Indie scene, playing in bands such as 24thankyou, and New World Vulture, as well as frequently collaborating with Iowa City artists such as Sophie Mitchell, Scott Griffin, and Ryan Radig. In March 2023, the long-awaited follow up to his 2020 covers record was finally released, Covers With Comrades, Vol. 2. The record features a laundry list of multi-talented artists from Iowa City and beyond. Nick also recently released his debut EP, In a Dream, under his solo project, New World Vulture. The EP is a product of years of quiet planning and recording, culminating in an exciting, genuine sound that you're sure to love. Additionally, a fruitful partnership with indie darling Adonai Melodías has been an exciting creative endeavor, with this collaboration releasing the ¡Vamos Amigos! (Deluxe) LP. This record marks the beginnings of a new subgenre, blending bedroom pop sounds with traditional Mexican folk music, spawning the creation of Indie Corridos. Nick is an exciting artist that showcases his talents in many forms including songwriting, performing, and producing.
