Biography
On Joe Nolan's latest single, "The Losing Game," he urges you to not give up on your dreams. Picking on his signature parlour guitar, "Americana wunderkind" (The Globe and Mail) Nolan is "stuck with these small town blues again," so much that he's "gotta up and leave." As the layers of instruments build – including trumpet accompaniment by LA's COULOU – the dawning drive to search "for something better and brighter," crests over the lightening horizon. During the Edmonton, Canada-based Joe Nolan's illustrious career he's recorded with JUNO winning producers Colin Linden and Hawksley Workman , won Cobalt Songwriting Prizes at the Maple Blues Awards, and earned nominations at BreakOut West and the Canadian Folk Music Awards. "The Losing Game" is the lead track from Joe Nolan's seventh album, Lost Verses, that releases on December 16. Take a listen if you enjoy: Leif Vollebekk, Phoebe Bridgers, Madison Cunningham, Jeff Tweedy, Lucinda Williams, Leonard Cohen and Buddy Miller
