Oskr aka Oskari Ruohonen (Yournalist, Nghtrdio), singer-songwriter who became known from the 2021 Finnish Eurovision qualifiers UMK, releases his first EP Quattro Stagioni or: How I Learned to Stop Loving and Fear the Bomb on March 31st. The EP is made up of four tracks, one for each season. The EP is a movie-like package where the story continues from song to song without letting the listener lose focus. It is a story of a man who is running away from adulthood, his relationship and issues in everyday life, such as the whereabouts of his car. The bitter-sweet story is based on a real story. Its narrator struggles with channeling his feelings and blames them on the seasons rather than takes responsibility for his own actions. "I got this idea when a guy who lived next door broke up with his girlfriend and moved away leaving his car parked on our street for several weeks. Meanwhile the parking slots were changed from free to chargeable. I tried contacting this guy several times to let him know but I never saw him move the car away", Oskr explains. The lyrics are written by Oskr's brother Santeri Ruohonen. Oskr's characteristic crisp humor and surprising twists are heard in the music, production and lyrics. The EP has an organic base frosted with old-school electro but its roots are on Oskr's musical source with modern indie.
