Biography

“This haunted house is not my home”  “Ghosts, graves, fears abound in the songs of Lancaster’s Mudhouse; somewhat appropriate for a band named after a local haunted house.  But these particular ghost stories skew more on the side of haunted thoughts and resurrections.  I’m reminded of Jacob wrestling all night with that most famous of apparitions in Genesis.  The members of the band—Lauren Dubois, Michael Giacomoni, Mitch Cavanaugh, Matt Varney, Mackie McAdam, Alyssa Brandon, and Kenneth Burcham—wrestle with their doubts, their beliefs, their deepest fears, tirelessly trying to connect with the eternal; seeking, in their own words to explore “the complexities of God and man”.  A worship leader by day, Giacomoni takes the surging choruses of his Sunday repertoire and applies them to something a bit more introspective.  He sings not from the vantage of one having it figured out, but of a ghost in search of a soul, afraid to say “I love you”, unable to shake his feelings of worthlessness; unable to see himself as flesh and blood and bone; but ultimately relieved that Something, Someone can.” - Josh Compton [let us make a record]
