Semilore Oketunji known by his stage name Se Ok is a prolific faith-based rapper based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Born in Lagos, Nigeria, he and his family moved to South Africa when he was 12 years old. He began his musical journey at this point, writing songs as a coping mechanism in a new unfamiliar environment that came with its challenges. "I grew up timid and, my nickname actually used to be 'Semi shy', music gave me a voice". "I make music simply to spread a message of faith, hope and love. It is my greatest desire that people listen to my music and feel emboldened and confident in who Christ has made them. I just want to let everyone know that they matter specially to God and in a world with a lot of noise, God hears."
