Biography
Founded in 2004 by songwriter/guitarist/singer Django Haskins, The Old Ceremony quickly became a pillar of Chapel Hill’s rock scene with their Self-Titled debut record, mixing theatrical noir arrangements with psychedelic tinges and rock energy. After fifteen years of touring in the US, Canada, and Europe, they continue to reinvent themselves from night to night. Their most recent albums, 2014’s Fairytales and Other Forms of Suicide and 2016’s Sprinter (produced by Mitch Easter with a guest appearance by R.E.M.’s Mike Mills) were released by Yep Roc Records.
