Biography

Self- taught lyricist Aza Lineage, was born in Kingston 7, Jamaica. Aza was influenced by Reggae & Dancehall Music from an early age. “My style of music is a combination of Reggae, Dancehall, Hip Hop, R&B, Revival & Sound System Culture", inspired by Dennis Brown, Bounty Killer, Beenie Man and The Fugees. Ava's music career turned professional when she llinked up with some talented youths from her hometown, known as The Lineage Family, which led to her meeting the legendary producer Lloyd "King Jammys" James in Waterhouse, Kingston 11. Aza shelled the audition with her song Sound System. On April 22, 2019 the song along with the video was released as her first official single with King Jammy’s, to be followed by several other singles such as ‘They Don’t Know’, “Dancehall Dadda’, and ‘Real Love’ off of ‘Tracks of Life’, King Jammy’s tribute to Dennis Brown. Eventually Aza found herself on stage at internationally known reggae festivals such as Reggae Rototom Sunsplash and Rebel Salute. Most recently, Aza has teamed up with More Life Productions out of California to release her debut EP, entitled ‘Kingston to Cali’.
