Biography
Hailing from Australia’s Central Coast, Comar’s unique blend of introspective lyrics, often-blunt delivery and diverse beat selection has placed him in a realm of his own in the Australian underground. The years since his first musical release in 2019 have seen Comar amass over 60K song streams across all platforms, in the process developing a small but devout circle of fans. Citing the likes of Mac Miller, Earl Sweatshirt, J. Cole and Childish Gambino as inspirations, his work draws elements from Trap, Boom Bap, Indie and Pop Rap to create a distinctive oeuvre characterised just as much by an enlightened severity as it is by unbridled energy. After initially finding his sound working with fellow Central Coast based producer L U N A, Comar’s melange of production has acted as a testament to his versatility. Often laid-back, at times vulnerable, Comar’s music has afforded him a vehicle to express himself, without compromise, and with the hope that listeners can find something they might relate to or enjoy. 2023 will see Comar embark on another run of impressive singles aiming to expand his discography and and show off his versatility. With plenty collaborations and quality tracks on the way, Comar plans to establish himself as one of the best Hip-Hop artists in Australia.
