    Biography

    Cake on Cake is the band of Helena Gabrielsson (former Sundin). It all started in 2005 when Helena studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Umeå. Small experimental pieces of sound, recorded in the art-studio, grew into songs. The name Cake on Cake referred to the many layers of different sounds and instruments that the songs were consisting of - like a wedding cake. After sending a demo to the small label Desolation Records, located in Richmond (Indiana), they released Cake on Cakes first album I See No Stars in 2005. Since then Cake on Cake has released three albums one EP and one remix-album and has also been participating on some compilations. Cake on Cake is no longer recording new music but Helena is still collaborating with other musicians and is joining in on compilations with small songs once in a while.
