Small Doctor, born Temitope Adekunle, is a Nigerian Afro-pop/Afrobeat creative singer, songwriter and producer who is highly inspired from growing up on the street of agege,oshodi, mushin, and Ikotun Lagos, Nigeria where he garnered most of his childhood experiences. The street ambassador is a native of Ondo State. Small doctor is a Nigerian street like character with word proficiency, his mind is filled with tales and his words breathes truth of resonant reality. In 2012, he achieved popularity as a singer, songwriter, and performer with the songs “Mosquito Killer” and “Gbagaun,” but he catapulted to fame with the release of his debut album, “street ambassador,” on July 24th, 2015, which became an instant smash in the country’s southwestern region. His megahit single ‘’Penalty’’ released in 2016 catapulted him to mainstream prominence, with numerous awards to his name also he was named “Best Street Hop” at The Headies in 2018. His songs are primarily written in English and Yoruba. The self-proclaimed street ambassador crooner is famed for his vernacular “Hain hain,” a distinct sound he creates when singing and has been his trademark since his debut song. Small Doctor has collaborated with several Nigerian music stars, including Pasuma Wonder, Reminisce, Ycee, Don Jazzy, Davido, Sheyi Shay, Olamide, Phyno, Moh Bad, Bella shmurda, Terry G, Oritse Femi, patoranking, and a few more.
