"We are professionals like Roger Moore & Tony Curtis" is how Michi Beck aka DJ Hausmarke once rhymed on his 1998 album "Weltweit" about the collaboration with his longtime companion and studio partner. For a good 20 years now Thomilla has been following his vocation to present the music he loves and embodies both as a DJ and as a producer. Like so many others he comes from the original soup of Stuttgart Hip Hop. Legendary club evenings in clubs like Red Dog and the start of a career as a producer marked the next steps on the way to their own studio and their own production company Benztown. At the beginning of the 2000s Thomilla and his longtime friend Michi Beck from Die Fantastischen Vier started "Turntablerocker" with which they broken into a new musical universe without forgetting their origins. With their modern club sound, which has its roots in the house and electro area, they have had a lasting influence on the German electronic music scene. Especially for his development as a DJ this was an important step which makes Thomilla what he is today: An extremely versatile, sovereign entertainer who knows how to inspire his audience both behind the decks and as a producer. All the influences of the past years come together here in a casual melange. His current work as side coach for Smudo and Michi from Die Fantastischen Vier as part of the renowned TV show "The Voice of Germany" rounds off a picture of respect and esteem that Thomilla can claim for himself.A professional.
