Biography

Mexican American hip-hop artist Young Lord, born Alejandro Moreno, 23 years old, began his love for music in his hometown of Oxnard, California. His melodic flows & witty word play give his music a new modern sound with a touch of his Mexican roots. Although he grew up listening to artist such as 50 Cent, Dr Dre, & DMX, his biggest influence had to have been his father who was signed to a major label back in 2004, seeing his father on TV, on stage, and constantly in the studio only drove Young Lord to work harder. After dropping his first single “Rockstar” and seeing the success that followed, then he released a album called “Cali Lords.” Today he continues to push and elevate his sound in different ways, whether it’s making music, performing, or through his social media presence. As the DASH radio reporter put it during a interview, “Young Lord is the Mexican rapper that we’ve been waiting for, the one that will take it to the next level.”
