In The Act Of Violence is a brutal slamming deathcore band from Ontario, Canada. The band was founded in 2006, taking on the Ontario music scene with high energy shows and heavy tunes. The first album "Hell from the Heavens" released in 2009, started the band on its path to ever evolving music. Every album after could only get more heavy, and each song adding different elements than the last. As the music progressed, so did the demand outside of the local scene the band flourished in. In 2010, ITAOV became the first band to tour with Waking the Cadaver (New Jersey, Death Metal) in Canada. The tour spanned from Ontario to Quebec, fully establishing the band's name in Canada. ITAOV have been on over 30 tours, and are still going strong. Playing stages with bands such as Despised Icon, Emmure, After the Burial, and Veil of Maya. Opening for Devildriver in Toronto in 2012, to the latest tour with Hunt The Dinosaur (Texas, Deathcore) in 2019. This band only drives in one direction, forward. With 8 records out to date, countless shows played, achievements, and milestones alike, ITAOV continues its domination. In the summer of 2021, the band went under another transformation sonically, as "We Are All Scum" was produced. The first single, "Unmarked Scalps" debuted on Beheading the Traitor, and ignited the band once more through the global pandemic that the world faced together. The record was instantly picked up by CDN Records, beginning the next chapter in the bands career.
