Mix a strong taste for indie music, another one for the french touch grooves, let simmer within 20 square meters, and you will get Okay Cactus. A frozen cocktail on a hot day, the soundtrack of a summer trip, or the memory of a mixtape, lost between 1979 and 2020. Rémi Ruff builds his own colorful universe from his bedroom workstation, tweaking samples, recording guitars and experimenting with virtual synthesizers. Composer, singer and sound engennier, the french producer fulfills his vision with complete independance, mixing his tracks and editing his music videos. After the release of one first EP In Love With You in 2018, the musician delivers an ambitious project : his debut album, The Shades And The Games. Crafted during 3 years, the landscape of the album oscillates between indie-pop and french house, as funky guitars blend with retro synths ; the choruses are always catchy. Developping a resolutely personnal style, one can guess his main inspirations that are Phoenix and Daft Punk, but also sometimes Tame Impala or Metronomy.
