Biography
Melanie Taylor, better known as the soulful voice of MUSZETTE, has a sound all her own that dances between electronic pop and energetic rock. The inspiring anthems of her debut EP “Big Mood” were amplified on networks like HBO, Disney, Netflix, and on shows like Younger, The Bold Type, Nancy Drew, Pose, Jersey Shore, and more. Female empowerment is the heartbeat of the MUSZETTE narrative as recognized by a recent promo for The 96 Effect, played during NBC’s Olympic Trials, all about women’s fight for recognition and equality in the Olympics, while her feature on NHL’s ‘Celebrating Gender Equality Month’ brought her motivational bangers to prime time. The LA-based artist was developed from her experience as a seasoned performer, songwriter and vocalist who is revealing her most unapologetic self yet. The moniker MUSZETTE draws influence from the Greek goddesses (muses) who presided over song and arts, adding potency to her uplifting messages of self-confidence. Musically she has been compared to Bishop Briggs with themes resembling that of LIZZO, while her sound is perhaps best described as a feeling rather than a genre. This urban creative’s fiery persona draws from her time spent in NYC and London while her ability to inspire comes from being raised by an independent single mom who encouraged her to chase her wildest dreams. It is this conviction that drives her to make music promoting fearless self-love, reminding her listeners that you are the master of your own destiny.
