Biography
Frankmusik is Vincent Frank, a producer and vocalist from Croydon, England whose compositions nod to the Crystal Castles' chiptune-fueled mania and Imogen Heap's bittersweet electro-pop. His debut EP, Frankisum, was released in the fall of 2007 which Vincent wrote and produced himself. He was signed to Universal/Island soon after, boosted by the buzz generated by that disc. The full-length album Complete Me - featuring the singles "In Step," "Confusion Girl," and "3 Little Words" - appeared in 2009 and hit number 13 on the U.K. chart. Later he opened multiple U.K. tour dates for Keane and Pet Shop Boys and continue to remix other artists including Lady Gaga and Nelly Furtado. Frank then relocated to the U.S. and worked with Interscope for his sophomore release, Do It in the AM, which hit Billboard's Top Electronic Albums chart. He also produced the Erasure album Tomorrow's World, released the same year. No longer with a major label, he produced an album where all profits solely benefited the Oxfam Charity and later produced a third album Between and Between Us (acoustic version). By Nicole followed in 2014 and For You appeared a year later. Following For You came his Day Break EP. Day Break is Frankmusik’s first venture into Synthwave and featured the works of like minded artists like Highway Superstar and Lindsay Lowend. The musician's next full length record was made as a two-part album - SS17 + AW17.
